FUNCTION
Organizing and implementing plans for teaching, learning, scientific research, effective management and use of assigned facilities and equipment, educating and training students, and performing other aspects of work according to the Rector regulations.
RESPONSIBILITY
- Developing the training programs, teaching and learning plans and organizing the training process of one or several disciplines; organizing the training process and other educational activities in the general curriculum plan at the Vo Truong Toan University.
- Developing the teaching staff skills, developing the training programs and facilities in the direction of standardization, enhance quality assurance conditions, meet social needs and international integration.
- Coordinating the implementation of admission activities according to the Vo Truong Toan University plan.
- Organizing the scientific and technological activities, actively contact the cooperating international projects; coordinating with sicentific and technological organization, workshops, and companies in order to attach education along with the scientific research and business production into the social life
- Proposing changes in organization and personnel in the faculty; register to receive training tasks of all branches and levels; in charge of the opening of majors and training majors.
- Managing staff, lecturers and students of the faculty according to the decentralization of the Rector.
- Managing the training content, methods, quality, quality management of scientific and technological activities.
- Organizing the compilation of curriculum and course syllabus assigned by the Principal; organizing research to improve teaching and learning methods, proposing to develop additional plans; maintaining the teaching equipment, practice, experience, scientific experiment.
- Coordinating the implementation of political, ideological, ethical and lifestyle education for staff, lecturers and students managed by the Faculty; organizing the training and retraining to improve professional qualifications for lecturers and staff of the faculty.
- Organizing the evaluation of managers and lecturers in the faculty; participating in the assessment of upper-level managers and lower-level managers according to the University's regulations.
- Coordinating in quality assurance work.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Rector.
MEDICINE FACULTY
The Mekong Delta is one of the economic centers and the largest granary in Vietnam. However, skilled and trained workforces are extremely in shortage. Especially, medical workforces are in serious needs.
The need to study the majors of medical science is increasing more and more while the local medical schools do not meet the demands. On the other hand, Hau Giang province’s General Hospital is under construction and will be available in the future, leading to the need of human resources in medical major more.
Understanding the above matter, Vo Truong Toan University worked hard to prepare, mobilize all the resources to provide the facilities, equipment and human resources to serve the registration and opening of the academic programme and arranging the training of medical science with a regular system in order to avoid the shortage of human resources through training a workforce with knowledge, professional skills and virtues.
The Medicine Faculty was established according to the decision No. 06/QĐ-HĐQT-TC-HC, the 14th of February in 2011 and according to the decision No 17/QĐ-HĐQT-TC, the 24th of March in 2011 from the Board Director of Vo Truong Toan University about split out the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy into the Medicine Faculty and the Pharmacy Faculty. The Medicine Faculty is a unit that belongs to Vo Truong Toan University.
